There are lots of opportunities to volunteer with lots of park organisations. It doesn’t matter whether you can make a regular commitment or can only spare a couple of hours occasionally, we have an opportunity for you.
We need people who want to get their hands dirty, inspire and educate, or who want to help us in the background with things like this website or help with admin. Below are some of the current opportunities we offer
Volunteering at the Crystal Palace Museum
Would you like to get involved in the local community and meet people?
Would you like to support a museum of an historic and world famous local site and learn all about its fascinating story?
Are you seeking to develop new skills, get wider experience and enhance your CV?
Well then, come and volunteer as a Museum Steward and join our friendly team!
If you can offer at least one session every other week, on a Sunday morning or afternoon, then that would be extremely valuable.
If you would like to help, but are not sure you can make such a regular commitment, or indeed would like to do more, we would also love to hear from you.
As a Steward you will welcome visitors to the Museum, help sells our posters, books and cards, engage with visitors on the history of the Crystal Palace
E-mail the Museum at email@example.com with your details or telephone the Museum on 020 8676 0700 for further information.
Please note all applicants must be over 16 years old.
Volunteering at the Information Centre
The Info Centre is a great space in Crystal Palace Park.
It is run by volunteers at weekends between 11am-3pm.
The Friends of Crystal Palace Park are looking for additional volunteers who would be interested in being part of the small team that ensures all visitors to Crystal Palace Park have the chance to learn more about it and an enjoyable experience.
This is an opportunity to work in a friendly and exciting environment.
There are various different gardening groups operating in Crystal Palace Park.
The Friends of Crystal Palace Park meet on the second Sunday of every month to carry out gardening work in the Secret Garden.
We meet at 2pm at the Park Information Centre (opposite the cafe at the Penge entrance of the Park).
Come and join us for some light gardening and tidying. We provide all the equipment needed as well as tea and biscuits at the end of the session.
Fun, fresh air and new friends
